Volunteers needed for the 2022 Senior Competition!
Please come help with Transportation, Ushering, Housing, Sales, Judges Room Hospitality, and escorting contestants to the backstage. Able-bodied walkers needed to escort contestants to and from practice rooms daily, 9 am to 8 pm.
Volunteer Orientations occur in Conference Room 115, 73-710 Fred Waring Dr., Palm Desert:
Thursday, Jan 27 at 9:30 am – Continental Breakfast
Monday, Jan 31 at 3 pm – Refreshments
Thursday, Feb 10 at 9:30 am – Continental Breakfast
Monday, Feb 21 at 3 pm – Refreshments
Thursday, Mar 3 at 9:30 am – Continental Breakfast

Competition starts April 10th with the Solo Round 1 on the Campus of College of the Desert, 43-500 Monterey Avenue, Palm Desert, CA 92260
Competition rounds are daily through April 16 at the Pollock Theater on the College of the Desert in Palm Desert competition services needed daily, practice rooms open at 8 am; morning sessions start at 9:30 for the public, and afternoon/evening sessions start at 4 PM.
A few people will be needed for the McCallum Theatre rehearsal and performance on Monday April 18.
Solo finals on Friday, April 15 start at 4:00 PM – $40 per ticket, limited availability

Enhance your Waring experience by becoming a volunteer. You will meet young artists from around the world as well as play a vital role in this unique musical event. You will meet other like minded people who love music and love helping nurture young talented pianists.
Our volunteers are the backbone of this biennial competition.

Develop and execute long and short term fundraising strategies and plan to maintain and enlarge the scope of corporate, business and individual donors and sponsors.
Help with all aspects of marketing including networking at City Chamber events, Conventions and Expos; dissemination of materials to support the needs of the organization to local and regional organizations, country clubs, businesses, youth and senior centers, including in person, electronic, print, website and social marketing methods. Volunteers with computer and graphic skills particularly needed.
