Mayor Pro Tem Welcomes PSIPC to First Season in Palm Springs

Jeffrey Bernstein, City of Palm Springs’ Mayor Pro Tem, welcomed PSIPC to its first season as a Palm Springs Performing Arts Organization. Citing the need for arts and culture in Palm Springs and throughout the Valley, Bernstein welcomed concert-goers to Latin FirePSIPC moved from its Palm Desert location to Palm Canyon Drive in Palm Springs. President Joe Giarrusso led the Board of Directors in making this significant change, stating “Palm Springs is a destination. Everyone knows Palm Springs. And, we wanted to capitalize on that name recognition.” While the name has changed, the International Piano Competition will honor its founder, Virginia Waring, in naming its Solo Competition prize “The Virigina Waring Solo Award”.
